Unauthorized entry on the field of play is strictly prohibited. Anyone who enters the field before, during or after an event will be subject to removal from the stadium, and/or fines, prosecution and Queen’s University students may also be subject to the non-academic misconduct process.

 

Q: What has changed in Richardson Stadium?

A: EVERYTHING! Richardson Stadium features, an artificial turf field, a three stage lighting system, modern sound system, video board (for live video, replays and promotions), two scoreboards (one in each end zone), concourse to navigate around entire stadium, modern washrooms and new concessions and more!

 

Q: Can anyone purchase tickets to attend a Gaels game at Richardson Stadium?

A: Yes, anyone can purchase a ticket at gogaelsgo.com/tickets

* It is recommended that you always bring a paper copy of your e-ticket.

 

Q: How will I receive my tickets after I purchase on-line?

A: After you purchase your tickets on-line, a confirmation email will be sent to you with a link to log in and print off your tickets. You will need to bring your printed ticket to the game.

 

Q: Is there a designated Family Zone at Richardson Stadium?

A: The Family Zone is located behind section 102. The Family Zone provides a variety of family entertainment each game.

 

Q: Is there a designated section for local groups (schools, clubs, teams, etc.)?

A: We offer group ticket pricing for groups of twenty or more with block seating together at Richardson Stadium. Contact Kelly Smith at 613-533-6000 x74728 to customize your group package.

 

Q: Where can I enter the stadium?

A: The main entrance is located on the East side of the stadium in front of the parking lot. Season ticket holders and VIP guests enter through Gate 1, all other guests are to enter through Gate 2.

 

Q: Will I be able to enter the stadium at the northwest or southwest corners as I did in the old stadium?

A: For easier entrance, ALL access to the stadium will be through two gates on the East side of the field, near the parking lot.

 

Q: Where can I park for games at Richardson Stadium?

A: Queen's west campus offers 11 parking lots and is operated by the Queen’s Parking Department.

  • Parking Lot 1 (adjacent to the entrance) is reserved parking only, it is available at a seasonal rate for season ticket holders, or available in advance for $15 per game through gogaelsgo.com/tickets .
    • Recommended route: Please enter west campus off of Johnson St. (West of Sr. John A. Macdonald Blvd.)
  • Lots 2, 3, 4 and 5 are available for $5 per game. Payment can be made via the Pay and Display machine on West Campus Lane by the entrance to Lot 3.
    • Recommended route: Please enter west campus off of Sr. John A Macdonald Blvd. (south of Johnson)
  • Parking Lots 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11 are free
    • Recommended route: Please enter west campus off of Sr. John A Macdonald Blvd. or Union Street.

Q: Where is Accessible parking at Richardson Stadium?

A: Lot 1 at Richardson Stadium offers barrier free parking spots adjacent to the entrance. Passes for this lot are available in advance for $15 per game through gogaelsgo.com/tickets.

 

Q: Can I bike to the stadium?

A: Yes, for your convenience there is a bike rack station on the Southeast side of the East building which is located near Gate 2.

 

Q: Where is First Aid available?

A: Contact the nearest Home Events staff member (identified by their bright yellow clothing) who will summon help or guide you to the First Aid staff. Alternatively, first aid is located in the East Building in the Q-Shop.

 

Q: Are there Outdoor Emergency Phones at the stadium?

A: Yes, The Outdoor Emergency Phones are easily identified on campus by their blue lights and yellow boxes with a large red button and are located throughout Richardson Stadium and provide a direct phone communication link to Queen’s Campus Security’s Emergency Report Centre (ERC) for any emergencies or need for immediate assistance.

 

Q: Where are the concessions?

A: There are two fixed concession spaces, serving Gabriel Pizza and Pita Pit, one in the East building, across from Section 105 and the other in the West building on the ground level.  Kenny’s Hot dogs are also located on the east Concourse by gate 2 and in the Gaels club

Q: Will alcohol be served at the new stadium?

A: Yes, similar to the former stadium, the Gaels Club in the North end zone remains a licensed area.

 

Q: Where are the washrooms?

A: Washrooms are located in the East building, across from Section 104 and the West building on the ground level.

 

Q: Is there a Family / Gender Neutral Washroom?

A: Yes, a Family / Gender Neutral Washroom is located in the East building, across from Section 104 and the West building on the ground level.

 

Q: Where are the player benches located?

A: The Gaels home bench will be on the West side of the field with the visiting team’s bench on the East side.

Q: Is there accessible seating?

A: Yes, accessible seating is available in all sections in the top row. To purchase ticket in this row please contact our tickets department at 613-533-2500 or by e-mail at custserv@queensu.ca

 

Q: How much knee space in there in the Gold seats?

A: In the occupied position, there will be about 11” from the front edge of the seat to the cup holder on the back of the chair in front of it. Unoccupied is 16-3/8”

 

Q: How much knee space in there in the Blue section?

A: There is 17-3/8” from front edge of seat to back of backrest in front. We pitch the backrest stanchion on a slight angle for a more comfortable seating position.

 

Q: Where can I purchase Queen’s Gaels and Athletic wear?

A: The Q-Shop offers three convenient ways for you to gear up for game day! Visit the Q-Shop’s flagship store in the ARC during regular operating hours, shop on-line 24/7 at the qshop.ca or purchase your Gaels gear on game days at our Q-Shop store in the east building located behind Section 105 at Richardson Stadium. All season ticket holders receive a discount on all Q-Shop purchases when they present their accreditation pass.

 

Q: Can I bring my pet to the game?

A: Animals and pets are not permitted in Richardson Stadium with the exception of service animals.

 

Q: Can I bring an umbrella?

A: Yes, however they must not interfere with the view of other guests.

 

Q: Can I bring banners/signs?

A: Yes, however the banners and signs must not interfere with the view of other guests. They cannot be of distasteful nature or content, nor can they advertise a logo or product. Signs may not be attached to any surface or obstruct permanent signage.

 

Q: Can I bring a bag?

A: Yes, bags may be subject to inspection upon entry, please refer to the prohibited item section before you enter Richardson Stadium. We are unable to hold any prohibited items for you.

 

Q: Can I bring a camera / video camera?

A: Guests are welcome to bring cameras for personal use. However, any photographic equipment cannot be used to reproduce the game and must not interfere with other fans’ enjoyment of the game. Tripods, monopods will NOT be permitted into the stadium. Video cameras and video recording is prohibited.

 

Q: I can’t attend a game or show, can I get a refund?

A: Unfortunately we are not able to offer refunds for event or concert tickets. Tickets can be given to another individual (family/friend).

 

Q: Can I exit Richardson Stadium and re-enter after I have scanned my ticket?

A: Fans will be allowed to leave and re-enter the stadium with their ticket at Gate 2 after the start of the 2nd quarter.

Fans planning on leaving the stadium must scan out with your ticket at gate 2. Upon re-entry, fans must go through the bag check and their ticket must be scanned.

 

Q: Why don't you sell bottled water?

A: As of September 1st, 2012 Queen's University became bottled water free. This means that single use bottled water is no longer available in vending machines, retail outlets or at events.  Click here for more on this campus policy.

Complimentary cups are available by request at the concessions. Reusable water bottles are available for purchase at the Q-Shop.

 

Q: Can I bring food and beverages with me to the Stadium?

A: Yes, Outside food and beverage will be permitted into Richardson Stadium as long as the items are wrapped, bagged or left inside a container to avoid spillage. Food containers must be soft-side and small enough to fit under the guest’s seat.  Security staff may, at their discretion, ask a fan to empty any beverage containers prior to entry to the stadium. Fans may bring EMPTY water bottles/beverage containers. Water Filling stations are located on both sides of the stadium. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited from entering Richardson Stadium.

 

Q: Can I smoke / vape / use an e-cigarette at the stadium?

A: There is no smoking in our within 20 meters of the stadium entrances. The designated smoking area is located outside gate 2 on the other side of the bike racks.  Fans who leave the stadium to smoke, must follow the re-entry policy above.

Q: How long before game time will the stadium gates open for entry?

A: The stadium will open 1.5 hours in advance of game time. 1 pm kickoff, gates open at 11:30 am.

Q: How can I get access to the Gaels Club?

A: As a season ticket holder Gaels Club access is included in the season ticket package! Your season ticket accreditation is your pass to enter.

 

Q: When are all the Football home games?

Q: Where can I park for games at Richardson Stadium?

Q: How can I take advantage of in seat hospitality?

A: In seat hospitality is only available to Gold Season Ticket holders during the first quarter. On game day, you will receive an order form when you arrive that you can complete and give to your host. Payment is through debit, visa or mastercard.

 

Q: What is the “meet the team” event? When is it?

A: Meet the Team event information will be included in your Season Ticket Holder update e-mails.

 

Q: What is the “lunch with the coach” event? When is it?

A: The “lunch with the coach” events, known as The Quarterback Club is an exclusive event for Gold season ticket holders and media. Information regarding these events will be e-mailed to Gold season ticket holders prior to the start of the season.

 

Q: How can I purchase season tickets for other Queen’s teams?

A: Season ticket purchases can be purchased on-line or by calling customer service. Once these tickets become available, you will receive an email from us.

 

 

Queen’s Students Specific FAQs

Q: How can I get my game ticket?

A: For all home regular season Gaels games, students will use their student cards at games for access. Present your student card to the ticket taker who will swipe it through the ticket scanner. The exception to this is Homecoming. See below.

 

Homecoming tickets:

Q: How can I get a homecoming ticket?

A:  Students who attend both games on Sept. 16 and Oct. 5 will be eligible to receive an advance homecoming ticket! Those student will be contacted by email on Oct. 5 to reserve their ticket. The remaining student tickets will be made available on-line on Tues. Oct. 10 at 7:00 am.

There will also be a limited number of promotional events during the week of the game where students can win tickets!

 

Q:  What is the student Loyalty Program?

A: The Loyalty Program was develop to reward our loyal student fans who cheer on the Gaels at every game. Student fans who attend the September games (Sept. 16 vs. Laurier & Oct. 5 vs. Waterloo) will have opportunity to request a tickets for homecoming before the general release to the students on Oct. 10 at 7 am.

 

Q: Do students now have to pay for tickets in the new stadium?

A: As in previous years, full time, AMS and SGPS students will continue to receive free tickets to all regular season home games as a component of their Athletics and Recreation fee.

 

Q: Is there a charge for playoff tickets in the new stadium?

A: As in previous years, in accordance to OUA regulation 4.3, student tickets are $15 each and can be purchased through your on-line account.

 

Q: Where can I enter the stadium?

A: Everyone attending the stadium must enter at Gate 2 on the East Side of the field.

 

Q: Can I bring banners/signs?

Q: What activities are available for children?

A: There will be lots of fun activities for children including face-painting, a balloon twister and much more.

 

Q: Is there a Family / Gender Neutral Washroom?

A: Yes, a Family / Gender Neutral Washroom is located in the East building, across from Section 104 and the West building on the ground level.

 

Q: Can I bring our stroller to the game?

A:  Strollers are not allowed in the stands with the exception of at the top of section 102. A supervised stroller storage area will be provided by the Gate 1 entrance.

Homcoming/Alumni Specific FAQs

 

Q: When are Homecoming tickets available for purchase?

A: Football tickets for Homecoming are currently available for purchase at www.gogaelsgo.com/tickets

 

Q: Have Homecoming ticket prices gone up?

A: No! For this year we have lowered the price of the Gold tickets from 2016 and are now able to offer a General admission ticket!  VIEW PRICES

 

Visiting Team Parents Specific FAQs

 

Q: Is there a recommended section for visiting team parents/friends at Richardson Stadium?

A: We recommend purchasing tickets located in either section 103/107.

 

Q: Where will the visiting player benches be?

A: The visiting team benches are located on the East side. *This is subject to change to accommodate TV or other events.
